DENNIS DAWSON

PANTEGO -- Dennis Herman Dawson, passed away after a brief illness Tuesday morning, March 22, 2011, during his 69th year.        Service: 10 a.m. Friday in Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: Family and friends will gather at Robertson Mueller Harper to share laughter and tears from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday.        A native of Fort Worth, Dennis was born May 2, 1941, the son of Herman and Helen McGuire Dawson. His parents preceded him in death.        Following graduation from R.L. Paschal High School in 1959, he attended the University of North Texas and San Antonio College. He was the owner of the Dennis Dawson Company which manufactured pecan abrasives and was a member of the Fort Worth Petroleum Club.        Survivors: In addition to his wife of 37 years, Merrill, Dennis is survived by his son, Derek Dawson; daughter, Melissa Barrientes and her husband, Mike, and their children, Isabelle and Sydney.
