Dewey Bruton

FORT WORTH -- Dewey Lee Bruton, 85, peacefully left this earth and entered the gates of heaven Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2012.        Funeral: 12:30 p.m. Monday at Lucas Funeral Home, 517 N. Sylvania Ave. Interment: Parkdale Cemetery, Arlington. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.        Dewey was born Aug. 22, 1926, in San Antonio to Dewey and Golden Tilford Bruton. Dewey graduated from Howard Payne University and took a Bible course every semester. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. Dewey retired from the Fort Worth Fire Department after 30 years of service.        Survivors: Wife, Ruth; sons, Barry Bruton of Bogata and Ted Bruton and wife, Sandra; brother, Homer Bruton of Morgan; half sisters, Sandra and Nita; grandchildren, Bryan, Tabitha and April Bruton; and numerous other relatives and friends.
