HURST -- Dewey Edward Walker, 87, passed away Thursday, May 13, 2010, at his home in Hurst.        Graveside service: 1 p.m. Monday in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville. The family will receive friends 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst.        Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.        Dewey served his country with honor in the United States Coast Guard.        Dewey was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Kenneth and Charles Walker.        Survivors: His beloved wife of 65 years, Mildred Walker; son, Ronald Walker; daughters, Donna Gardner and husband, Buzz, Dale Ann Jones and husband, Bill; grandchildren, Ronald Walker Jr., Donnell Avila and husband, Dennis, Erin Hall and husband, Preston, Rhett Jones, Kaleigh Jones, Kameron Jones; great-grandchildren, Morgan, Mallory and Mason Avila; and a host of family and ham operator friends.
