BEDFORD -- Don Dale, 64, passed away Friday, Jan. 20, 2012, surrounded by family and friends. Memorial service: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Emmanuel Presbyterian Church, 2701 Harwood Rd., Bedford. Inurnment: Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery at a later date. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Emmanuel Presbyterian Church or to the Life Gift Organ Donation Center, 1701 River Run, Suite 300, Fort Worth, Texas 76107. Donald was born Aug. 31, 1947, in Ashland, Kan., to Don and Eleanor Dale. He grew up in Kansas, served in the Navy, and in 1974 started work for Bendix in Wichita, Kan. In 1983 he moved his family to Bedford, where after 35 years he retired from Honeywell. He enjoyed gardening, Rangers baseball, spending time with his family and spoiling his dogs. Survivors: Loving wife of 37 years, Cheryl; son, Geoff and wife, Amanda; daughter, Alicia and husband, Brian; grandchildren, Ivy and Geoffrey; brother, Owen; sister, Kathryn; and extended family.
