BEDFORD -- Donald Thomas McDevitt, 74 passed away Thursday August 4, 2011 in Bedford. Visitation Sunday from 4:00 to 6:00 at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst. Funeral: Monday at 10:30 am at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Bedford. Inurnment at DFW National Cemetery at a later date. Donald T. McDevitt was born in Philadelphia, Pa December 5, 1936. He served his country honorably as a US Army Major and helicopter pilot from 1958-1967. Decorations include Army Aviation badge, Vietnam campaign medal with device 60, And distinguished flying cross. After his decorated military career he went on to attend Law school graduating from the University of Oklahoma in 1974. Survivors: Wife Susan McDevitt; Son Donald, Kevin and wife Mary, Michael and wife Tina; sister Faith; brother Marc; 8 grandchildren; 4 Great grandchildren and host of other family and friends.
