Donald McPherson

EULESS -- Donald E. "Tex" McPherson, 74, a retired employee with automobile dealerships, died Thursday, Aug. 3, 2006, at a local hospital.  Memorial service: 11 a.m. Saturday in Lucas Grapevine Funeral Home Chapel, 2000 W. College St., with the Rev. Lawrence Hammond officiating.  Donald E. "Tex" McPherson was born May 4, 1952, in Liberty Grove. He worked for many years with automobile dealerships. He was an auctioneer. One of the greatest fulfillments of his life was working with charities such as the Boy Scouts of America and with professional sports teams. His philosophy of life is captured in the anonymous writing, "Life is not measured by the breaths that we take but by the moments that take our breath away."  Tex was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.  Survivors: Wife, Rose; son, Richard and his wife, Nancy; son, Jerry "Jere" and his wife, Evy; daughter, Pamela; grandchildren, Ricky, Ryan, Missy, Reid, Jon, Kristen, Miles and his wife, Jessica, and Miro'; great-grandchildren, Christopher and Nevin Aldo; nieces and nephews; and extended family.
