NORTH RICHLAND HILLS -- Gay Elkins, 57, went to her eternal home on Tuesday, June 25, 2013. Graveside service: 10 a.m. Friday in Mitchell Cemetery in Iredell. Visitation: The family will receive friends 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Lucas Funeral Home, Hurst. You are asked to wear purple in her honor. She had always had her twin sister Kay by her side throughout her entire life. Gay and Lynn were married previously and when they realized they were "Soul Mates"; they remarried three years ago. After loving each other for the last 42 years, Gay and Lynn were complete. Gay loved her home and yard and she worked on them continuously and tirelessly every day. She was a longtime employee of Carter Blooded Care. She was preceded in death by her mother, Peggy Lou Dillingham; and two of her babies, Smokie and Natalie. Survivors: Her soul mate and husband, Lynn Elkins; her four babies, Heidi, Precious, Buddy and Sassy; father, Danny Wilson; sister, Danna Kay Hernandez (Fred); brother, Willard Ray Wilson (Jan); niece, Sara Hernandez; nephew, Thomas Joseph Hernandez; great-niece, Nahla Gabriela Hernandez; beloved aunts, Gladys Wilson and Dorothy Wilson; beloved uncle, James Wilson; and many friends from online games, bingo halls and Facebook friends.
