HURST -- Doris Carnahan, 81, died peacefully Sunday, March 9, 2008, at a local hospital. Funeral: 10 a.m. Wednesday in Lucas Funeral Home Chapel, 132l Precinct Line Road, Hurst. Interment: Following a committal service, Doris will be laid to rest next to her husband, William, at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Tiger Town Community Cemetery on Highway 38 near Paris, Texas. Visitation: 9 a.m. Wednesday at the Funeral Home. Memorials: Friends who desire are respectfully invited to honor her memory with a contribution in her name to a charity of choice. Doris was born May 7, 1926, in Paris to Leonard A. and Neva Lassiter Hewgley. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Her life was her family and her work. She retired after 30 years from Texas Instruments. Doris was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, William R. Carnahan. Survivors: Sons, Billy and his wife, Claudia, Larry and his wife, Elaine, and Donnie and his wife, Marilyn; daughter, Sharon Keenum and her husband, Ken; grandchilden, Sean Carnahan and his wife, Shannon, Kim Carnahan, Kelly Keenum, Danny Carnahan, Dana Walker and her husband, Gary, Dylan Carnahan, Tyler Eggers, Nellie Carnahan, B.J. Carnahan and Chance Carnahan; and great-granddaughters, Hayden and Madison Carnahan.
