Born in Dallas in 1928, Doris Katherine was the daughter of Christopher Judson and May Bell Hooper Kennemer. She was a lifelong resident of Fort Worth. Doris was the widow of Charles Leslie "Les" Cooke, former president and CEO of Texas New Mexico-Power Co., formerly Community Public Service Co. She enjoyed traveling with Les to numerous locations, whether it be for business or pleasure. Although Doris had joined Missouri Avenue Methodist Church as a young girl, she attended University Christian Church with her husband, who was a member. As a member of Opti-Mrs Club of Fort Worth, Doris held numerous positions including president-elect, president and chairwoman of the board. She was always willing to assist in whatever capacity she was able to do at the time for Opti-Mrs. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Samuel J. Kennemer Sr. The family wishes to express gratitude to Community Hospice of Texas for the kindness and love shown to Doris. Survivors: Son, Christopher R. "Randy" Hagan and his wife, Susan, of Cleburne; daughter, Pamela Lynn Housley and her husband, David, of Fort Worth; grandson, Keith Alan Housley and his wife, Stephanie; great-grandsons, Ethan Alan and Caleb Ryan, all of Rendon; sisters, Patsy Kennemer and Bernice Burns of Fort Worth; nephew, Samuel J. Kennemer Jr. and his wife, Chyrel, of Southmayde; niece, Sally Kennemer of Irving; great-nephew, Phillip Judson Kennemer and his wife, Julie; great-great-nephews, William Judson and Andrew Charles all of Cypress; great-niece, Kristie Wyman and her husband, Tim, of Richardson; and a host of many friends.
