Doris Griffin

MANSFIELD -- Doris Louise Griffin, 77, a retired delivery person for the Mansfield News Mirror, died Friday, Feb. 9, 2007, at a Kennedale nursing center.  Funeral: 2 p.m. Monday at Blessing Funeral Home. Burial: Laurel Land Memorial Park, Crowley. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Blessing Funeral Home.  Doris was born Dec. 26, 1929, in Anson, the daughter of L.C. and Ettie Victoria Hopper. She was a longtime resident of Mansfield. Doris was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ray Griffin; and son, Jerry Fowler.  Survivors: Sons, Weldon Fowler and wife, Mary Jo, of Venus and Greg Fowler of Haltom City; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
