Dorothy Selman

Dorothy "Mema" Allcorn Selman, 88, of Kennedale, Texas, went to be with her Lord at 4:38 p.m. on Thursday, June 23, 2011in Methodist Mansfield Medical Center in Mansfield, Texas. Dorothy was born in Fort Worth, Texas on December 14, 1922, the daughter of Charlie Allcorn and Gena Stewart Allcorn. She married William Floyd Selman on July 26, 1941, in Mansfield. Dorothy retired from Winn-Dixie. Her passions were quilting and her grandchildren. She shared her quilts with many people and many nursing homes. Survivors include her Son, Floyd Selman and wife, Ruby; son-in-law, Curtis Johnson; grandchildren, Analisa Selman Richardson and husband, Stewart, Gracie Ann Selman Hall, Michael Wade Johnson and wife, Amy, and Damon Todd Johnson; great-grandchildren, Tyler Stewart Richardson and Olivia Marie Johnson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, William, and daughter, Judy Marie Selman Johnson.
