Dorothy Smith

Dorothy Marie Smith, 84, a retired VA Hospital Staff employee, went to be with the Lord Saturday, December 2, 2006  Funeral: 1 p.m., Wednesday at Blessing Funeral Home Chapel, 401 Elm St., Mansfield. Burial: Mansfield Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday at Blessing Funeral Home.  Dorothy was born November 26, 1922 in Britton, Texas to the late Janie Leone Griffith and Benjamin Franklin Howard. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Lester Gordon, and sister, Bonnie Merritt. Dorothy committed her life to faithfully serving the Lord, and will be sorely missed by her family and friends.  Survivors: Daughter, Patricia Yust of Southlake; sister, Wilma Roper of Grand Prairie; brothers, O.L. Howard of Keller, Bill Howard of Mansfield and Bob Howard of Midlothian; grandchildren, Jennifer Dyke of Houston and Christopher Yust of Southlake.
