Dorothy Toomer

Dorothy Mae was born Sept. 28, 1923, in Memphis, Texas, to Robert Lee and Alma Ruth Shaw. Dorothy Mae was a longtime resident of Fort Worth. She retired as a teller for First Republic Bank of Fort Worth. In recent years she had lived in North Richland Hills. She was preceded in death by her husband, Check Toomer; her father and mother; two brothers; and two sisters. Survivors: Two sisters, Opal Sutton of Kaufman, Betty Sanders and her husband, Harold of Hurst; brother, Bobby Shaw and wife, Marine of Winnsboro; 19 nieces and nephews; a great number of other relatives who will miss Aunt Dot very much.
