Douglas Cope

MANSFIELD -- Douglas Wayne Cope, 74, passed away Thursday, Aug. 20, 2009. Memorials: In lieu of flowers or gifts, contributions may be made to Tipton Children's Home in Tipton, Okla., in the name of Doug and Betty Waugh Cope. Doug was born in Cedar Hill on Sept. 9, 1934. He was an elder in the Church of Christ for 38 years. Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Lorene Cope. Survivors: Wife of 55 years, Betty Cope of Mansfield; children, Douglas Paul Cope and wife, Barbara, of Arlington, Krysti Cope Brock and husband, Tom, of Mansfield and Brian Wayne Cope and wife, Pam, of Albany; grandchildren, Andrew Douglas Cope and wife, Lucy, Wendi Williams and husband, Chris, Tarah Doughty and husband, Eric, Katy Cope, Jacob Douglas Cope and wife, Andrea, Travis Carleton Brock, Eric Paul Cope, John Brian Cope, Hannah Cope and Kyle Moore; great-grandchildren, Miranda, Carter, Jade, Gabriel Douglas, Stella, Madelyn and Corbin; brother, Roland Cope and wife, Dottie; and nephew, Kevin Cope.
