Dwane (Rambo) Kruger, 74, of Krugerville, passed away at the Vintage in Denton on Friday, Nov. 7, 2008. He was surrounded by loved ones at his side. He was born in Green Valley on Dec. 26, 1933, to Alvin Robert Kruger and Florence Housden. He married Martha Dunn on Dec. 24, 1956, in Frederick, Okla. He served in the United States Army and was also a concrete contractor.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years and 11 months, Martha, of Krugerville; two daughters, Dwana Hughes and husband Charles of Houston, and Judy Grant and husband Ricky of Krugerville; three sons, Jr. Kruger, Shane Kruger and wife Mandy all of Krugerville, and Greg Kruger and wife Patti of Pilot Point; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grand children; three sisters, Deloris Lawson and Sylvia Riordan of Wichita Falls, and Helen Elvington of Pilot Point; three brothers, Billy Jack and Alvin Ray Kruger of Denton and Doug Kruger of Krugerville. He is also survived by his best friend Paco Kruger of Krugerville.
