RICHLAND HILLS -- Earnest Roy "Jack" Bledsoe, 83, died Friday, Sept. 17, 2010. Graveside service: 10 a.m. Tuesday in Glenwood Cemetery, Alvarado. Visistation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Blessing Funeral Home, Mansfield. Jack was born Feb. 27, 1927, in Alvarado to Louis Counce and Julia Harrison Bledsoe. His family moved to Fort Worth in 1941. In March 1944, Jack enlisted in the Marine Corps, served in World War II and was honorably discharged in 1946. He retired from Bell Helicopter as general supervisor of assembly in 1989 after 38 years of service. Jack was known for never turning anyone away from his table and was always trying to help everyone in need who he could possibly help. For over 50 years he enjoyed fishing at Falcon Lake in South Texas. Survivors: Daughters, Olivia Ann Bledsoe and Melynda Jane Bledsoe; sons, John D. McGee and William Bledsoe; grandchildren, Melanie Kathan, Harper Blesoe and Gracie Bledsoe; great-grandson, Cameron Collins; brothers, John A. and Joe Bob, both of the Dallas-Fort Worth area; and many nieces and nephews.
