Eddie Funderburgh

Eddie Funderburgh, 83, passed away at 3:45 P.M. on Wednesday, March 19, 2008, at his home.Eddie was born in Murphy, Texas on May 30, 1924, the son of Edward Marshall Funderburgh and Brina Rossiter Funderburgh. He married Hazel Stephens in Weatherford, Texas on April 26, 1972. Eddie was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of Lillian First Baptist Church. He had retired as a motor man for Texaco after 28 years of service.Survivors include his Wife, Hazel Funderburgh of Lillian; children, Eddie Glen Funderburgh of Wylie, Anita Mayse of Jacksonville, Fla., Tom C. Whitlow of North Port, Fla., James "Jim" L. Whitlow of Mansfield and Clara Walters of Arlington; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Wanda Jordan and Lenney Lawler, both of Dallas, Joann Mayfield of Fort Worth, Martha Choice of Houston, Dennis Funderburgh of Del Rio and Felicia Cardwell of Garland.Eddie was preceded in death by a brother, Bud Funderburgh.
