Edgar Lee Moore

BEDFORD -- Ed Moore, 65, lost his courageous battle with COPD on Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, at his home. Ed was born in Dallas on Nov. 4, 1947. When he was a small boy, his family moved to Abilene. Ed was raised in West Texas, where he stayed until graduation from McMurry University in 1970. Ed was the proud owner of Add-Air Services (HVAC) for 25 years. His Betty Boop truck couldn't be missed traveling though out the Metroplex. Ed prided himself in offering his customers, "A good job at a fair price." He enjoyed the independence of being a business owner and creating long-lasting relationships with his customers. Ed loved reading and learning about history and philosophy and would often share his knowledge with his family. He had a daredevil side to him as well. As a child he loved riding his cherry-red Indian motorcycle. As an adult he tried his hand at hot air balloon rides, sky diving, and his favorite, flying Ultra-Lite aircraft. Ed was a beloved and cherished husband, father, brother, uncle, and grandfather. He loved and was loved - Through us his memory will be honored. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Ruth Moore; his brothers, Harold and Billy Moore. Survivors: He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Shari Moore; brother, Sam Moore; daughters, Brandy Hudman and Kym Allis; son, Samuel Lee Moore; granddaughters, Emily Beard and Daisy Moore; son-in-law, Jay Hudman; and many nieces and nephews.
