RICHLAND HILLS -- Edna Mae Goldman Stearns, 84, passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2012. Service: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 20, at Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Road, Hurst, TX. Visitation: 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Lucas Funeral Home. Interment: 4:00 p.m. at Trickham Cemetery. Friends and family will gather at Trickham Community Center following the graveside service. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Trickham Cemetery Association, Attention: Roberta McShan, 2406 S. 13th St., Brownwood, Texas 76801 or Alpha Omega Hospice, P.O. Box 162041, Fort Worth, TX, 76161-2041. Edna was born August, 22, 1928 in McCulloch County, Texas. Edna married William Grady Stearns on July 26, 1946. After several years living in Brady, they moved their family to Fort Worth in the early 1950's. Following their move to Fort Worth, Edna spent years working as a seamstress at various companies. Following her retirement in the mid 1980's, she and her husband built a second home located in Brookesmith, Texas. Here they spent countless hours enjoying all the aspects of country living. Edna was predeceased by her husband, William and daughter, Charlott Shelton. Survivors: Daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Larry Sammons; son, Ronnie Stearns; grandson and spouse, Travis and Holly Shelton; grandson and spouse, Tracy and Jessica Sammons; grandson and spouse, Alan and Melissa Sammons; great grandchildren, Aiden Sammons and Jillian Shelton, cousins; Nelda and Narvel Rogers; and numerous family.
