NORTH RICHLAND HILLS -- Edna Louise Stewart, 85, a longtime resident of North Richland Hills, passed away Thursday night, March 17, 2011, after a short illness. Funeral: 10 a.m. Monday in the chapel of The Hills Church of Christ, 6300 N.E. Loop 820. Interment: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Lucas Funeral Home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the CEC at the church or a charity of choice. Mrs. Stewart was born May 4, 1925, in Celina to the late Hardy and Effie Lovett. She married Arthur Wayne Stewart on Feb. 7, 1947. Arthur was a 40-year employee of American Airlines before his death in January 1986. Mrs. Stewart was a homemaker and a 55-year member of Richland Hills Church of Christ (now The Hills Church of Christ). She was an active member of her church as a volunteer with the CEC on Wednesday of each week. Mrs. Stewart was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and brother, Dicky Lovett. Survivors: Daughter, Judy Johnson and her husband, Rick; granddaughters, Misty and Leslie Baptiste; sister, Dr. Dot Lovett; sister-in-law, Lilly Lovett; brother-in-law, Dub Stewart and his wife, Lanona; sister-in-law, Anita Ringener and her husband, Dairrel; sister-in-law, Betty Mumford and her husband, Dennis; many nieces and nephews; and a large number of extended family members and friends.
