Edward Gilder

Edward Norris Gilder, 87, of Mansfield, passed away at 9:40 A.M. on Sunday, September 30, 2007, in The Plaza at Mansfield.Ed was born in Lacasa, Texas on October 16, 1919, the son of George Herman Gilder and Addie Belle Rippetoe Gilder. Mr. Gilder was a WWII veteran of the Army Air Corps, serving in the European Theater of Operations. He married Georgina Mary Ridout on July 25, 1944 in Amersham, England. Following the death of his first wife, Ed married Hazel Roller McBrayer. Mr. Gilder was a retired Aircraft Electrician for Vaught. Survivors include his wife, Hazel McBrayer Gilder; son, John Gilder; and daughters, Patricia Baines and Carol Owens.Ed was preceded in death by his first wife, Georgina, on June 24, 1999; and a son, Paul Norris Gilder, on April 21, 1971.
