Edward Meffen

Ed Meffen went to be with the Lord and his beloved wife, Connie, on Friday, Feb. 27, 2009, after a brief illness. ??????Ed was born March 24, 1927, in Frimley Green, Surrey, England. He served in Her Royal Majesty's Army from 1944 to 1956. He worked as a line supervisor for Metal Box in Worcester, England, where he met the love of his life, Connie. They were married in March 1958 and in 1960 moved to Italy, where they lived until moving to Texas in 1974. He was employed at Carnation Can Co. from 1974 until his retirement in 1985. ?????? He will be missed by many friends and family. ?????? Ed was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Connie; his parents; and three sisters. ?????? Survivors: Daughters, Susan Thomas and husband, Michael, and Stella Ralph and husband, Cliff; stepgrandchildren, Trent, Kaylan and Kennedye; granddogs, Sam, Doc and Sandy; and a number of nieces and nephews in England, Italy and Tennessee.
