HURST -- Elizabeth Hughey "Betty" Crawford, 83, passed away Sunday, June 23, 2013. Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Lucas Funeral Chapel in Hurst. The Rev. Mike Marshall will officiate. Interment will follow at 12:30 p.m. in Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials: Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Fort Worth Mission. Betty was born April 21, 1930, in Beebe, Quebec Canada. She was a resident of Hurst, where she retired from North Hills Hospital as a registered nurse. In retirement, she enjoyed working at the First United Methodist Mission. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elsie and Vinal Hughey; brother, Leslie Hughey; and husband, James L. Crawford. Survivors: Her children, Mike Crawford and wife, Teresa, Leslie Crawford Brawner and husband, Greg, James Crawford and wife, Tina, Tim Crawford and wife, Janet; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and brother, David Hughey.
