HIGHLAND VILLAGE -- Elizabeth Duplantis, known as Betty to her family and friends, left this life to be with our Lord on November 7, 2006. Her death was sudden and unexpected. Funeral Mass: 1:00pm Friday at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 861 Wildwood Lane, Grapevine, Texas. Burial: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: Family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00pm at Lucas Funeral Home, 2000 W. College St., Grapevine, Texas. Memorials: In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, (888) 888-3317 or the St. Jude Children's Hospital, (800)822-6344. Betty was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on July 29, 1943. While in high school, Betty met her husband Robert and the two shared the last 47 years together. The couple had two sons and later were blessed with four grandchildren. Robert and Betty Duplantis moved to Houston Texas in 1977 and became Dallas area residents in 1985, living in Plano and Highland Village. Betty was known for her loving spirit that touched everyone she met. Her passion was her family, her children, her grandchildren, her friends and bridge. Survivors: She leaves behind her husband Robert Alan Duplantis, her sons Todd Stephen Duplantis of Houston and Dr. Chad Christopher Duplantis of Keller, daughters in laws, Kelly and Ellen, grandchildren Joshua, Gabriele, Austin and Ava Brielle, her father and mother Warren and Loraine Norton and mother-in-law Gwendolyn Duplantis, brother Warren Norton Jr, sister-in-law Linda and nephew Christian Johan and hundreds of friends that stretch across the country.
