Elizabeth Snoddy Leverett

BURLESON -- Elizabeth "BiBi" Snoddy Leverett went to join her Heavenly Father and other loved ones on Friday, April 8, 2011. Celebration of life: 10 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Lucas & Blessing Funeral Home, 518 S.W. Johnson in Burleson. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. She was born on April 17, 1928, in Palo Pinto to Elisha and Clemmie Elizabeth Snoddy. She graduated from Strawn High School in Strawn and attended St. Joseph Nursing School. While there, she met Dr. Jack K. Leverett and they married on Aug. 30, 1948. They had two sons, Jack K. and Gerald B., and a daughter, Jaye Lane. After 29 years as a FWISD nurse at several different schools, she retired. BiBi enjoyed traveling locally as well as abroad, camping, fishing, baking, and QVC shopping. She was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Jack Leverett, parents Elisha Snoddy and Clemmie Richardson, two brothers, John and Hershel Snoddy and sister, Iris Stuart. Survivors: She leaves behind her children, Jack Leverett, Gerald Leverett and his wife, Carolyn, and Jaye Lane Burns and her husband, Richard; three grandsons; two granddaughters; two great-granddaughters; one great-grandson; sister, Sherry Shrevel and husband Robert; numerous nieces and nephews; along with her extended family, Billie Hamlet and family.
