FORT WORTH -- Elizabeth Jo Foster Whalen, 88, died peacefully Friday, Dec. 28, 2007. Funeral: 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, in the cemetery, with the Rev. Fr. Tom Stabile of St. Andrew's Catholic Church officiating. Following prayers, Elizabeth will be laid to rest next to her husband, Tom, in Laurel Land Memorial Park. Visitation: Mrs. Whalen will lie in state from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday in the Parlor at Robertson Mueller Harper. Memorials: Consideration of contributions to a charity of one's choice, in Elizabeth's memory, is suggested. A native of Denton, Elizabeth Jo was born June 29, 1919, the daughter of Clayton Jones and Ruby Verdeen Vancleave. She was married to Thomas William Whalen, a longtime WBAP Radio and Television broadcaster, who preceded her in death. Elizabeth was a 1936 graduate of W.C.
