BURLESON -- Ella Mae Bedwell Lawson, 69, a devoted wife, mother and servant of her Lord, passed away Thursday, Dec. 2, 2010, after a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral: 10 a.m. Monday in Lucas Funeral Home Chapel, 1321 Precinct Line Road, Hurst. Interment: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials: Bethesda Baptist Church in Burleson. Mae was born Feb. 22, 1941, in Huntingdon, Tenn., to Robert and Ree Baker Bedwell. After moving to Kentucky, she met and married her husband of 50 years, David Y. Lawson. She touched many lives with her love, presence, time and generosity. She was avid about getting to know people and always made them feel special. She will be deeply missed by family and friends. Survivors: Husband, David; son, John D. Lawson and wife, Robin, of Hurst; daughter, Lynne M. Roland and husband, D. Scott, of Arlington; grandchildren, Charles David Lawson of Hurst, Alexandra J. Roland and Savannah R. Roland of Arlington; mother, Ree Bedwell of Arlington; brother, Archie Bedwell of Grand Prairie; and many cousins, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.
