Elouise Berend

Elouise Berend, 78, of Pilot Point passed away at her residence on Saturday, Sept. 27, 2008. She was born on Nov. 15, 1929 in Grayson County to Everett and Edna Dethloff Gillum. She married Richard Berend on April 11, 1947 in Pilot Point. He preceded her in death in 1998. She was a retired cook with the Pilot Point Independent School District. Elouise is survived by one son; Morris Berend and wife Sherry Jo of Decatur, and two daughters, Brenda and Harvey Kruger of Pilot Point, and Kathy and Nathan Riney of Sadler, Texas. She is also survived by a sister, June Russell of Whitesboro, and one brother Wayne Gillum of Pilot Point. Elouise has 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
