KELLER -- Elsie Marie Botvidson, 79, passed away Thursday, Aug. 5, 2010, in a local senior living facility.        Memorial service: 5 p.m. Sunday in Hurst Christian Church, 745 Brown Trail Drive, Hurst, with the Rev. She married John Frank Botvidson in 1949, and they had three children, Joanna, John and David. They moved to Hurst in the early 1960s and were active in the Hurst Christian Church for many years.        For many years, Elsie held several roles with mental health and mental retardation: first as administrative assistant at Bethany House in Hurst, and in Wichita Falls she was program manager for the Vocation Enrichment Center and served later as grant writer for the Wichita Falls MH/MR center.        Elsie was adventurous and loved to travel. She left Hurst to live in Wichita Falls and Granbury and in Portland, Ore., for five years before returning to Texas in 2005. She was an avid do-it-yourselfer around the house and enjoyed creating beautiful ceramic pieces.        Elsie was preceded in death by her husband, John Frank Botvidson.        Survivors: Sons, John Botvidson and wife, Terri, and David Botvidson and wife, Cheri; daughter, Joann Henry; grandchildren, Justin Botvidson, Christopher and Katie Botvidson; sisters, Jo Taylor, Dottie Klingle and Beth Hightower.
