HURST -- Emma Lorene Hastings Bryan, 86, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, went to heaven Sunday, Aug. 14, 2011.        Service: 1 p.m. Wednesday in Lucas Funeral Home Chapel. Interment: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home        Lorene Bryan, the daughter of Eulin and Emmie Hastings, was born in Jonesboro on March 15, 1925, and moved to Hurst in 1967. She was in love with and married for 65 wonderful years to Ralph Bryan, a former Hurst City Council member. She was a Christian homemaker, active citizen, realtor and avid bridge player. She was a PTA member, former president of the Mid-Cities Newcomers Club, a member of the Oak Crest Women's Club and First Baptist Church of Hurst. Most importantly, she was a wonderful, caring person, loved by so many. We cherish the memory of her life.        Survivors: Husband, Ralph Bryan of Hurst; brother, W.D. Hastings and wife Joyce, of Houston; daughter, Beverly Bode and husband, David, of Seagoville; sons, Richard Bryan and wife, Jo, of Bedford and Bill Bryan and wife, Kathy, of Hurst; grandchildren, Richard Bryan, Shannon Raymond, Melissa Bode, Robert Bryan, Ashley Bryan, Kacy Bryan and Riley Bryan; and six great-grandchildren.
