BEDFORD -- Bill Cole, 75, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2007, at a local care center. Funeral: 10 a.m. Saturday, Lucas Hurst Chapel. Interment: 2 p.m. Saturday in Poolville Cemetery, Poolville. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Bill was born June 5, 1932, in Martin, Tenn. He was a graduate of East Texas State University and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Bill retired from the Fort Worth Police Department after 28 years as a detective. He then worked for the Tarrant County District Attorney's office as an investigator. He was a member of Shady Oaks Baptist Church and Polytechnic Lodge #925 A.F.& A.M. Survivors: Wife, Frances Cole; daughter and husband, Cindy and Scott Fields; son and wife, Bill and Laurie Cole; grandchildren, David Cole, Stacie Barron, Jeff Fields, Kevin Cole, Brad Fields and John Cole; and three great-grandchildren.
