FORT WORTH -- Dr. Ernest C. Atchley, 93, passed away Sunday, April 10, 2011, at his home.        Funeral: 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 15, in the chapel of Lucas Funeral Home at 1321 Precinct Line Road, Hurst, TX. Interment: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park, Colleyville. Visitation: The family will receive friends Thursday, 6-8 p.m..        Memorials: Should friends desire, donations are requested to Latin American Baptist Missions, 6045 WJ Boaz Rd., Ft. Worth, TX 76179.        Dr. Ernest C. Atchley has been a teacher of God's Word since 1943, shortly after he was saved while working in a plant, building B-24 bombers during World War II in Ft. Worth, Texas. After serving many years as a preacher and pastor, he became a full-time missionary in Mexico and founder of Latin American Baptist Missions.        Dr. Atchley graduated from Southwestern Bible Institute in Waxahachie and went on to found Broadview Assembly of God Church in Ft. Worth and was pastor of Keller Bible Baptist Church. Later in life he graduated from TCU with a Bachelor of Science in education, and in 1975, Dr. Art Jones awarded him an honorary doctor's degree from Fundamental Bible Schools in Knoxville, Tennessee.        During the last few years Dr. Atchley has been an avid writer on the prophetic books from the Bible and these are being published by Tate Publishing. Dr. Atchley wanted to be remembered as a missionary that fought the good fight, finished the course and kept the faith.        Dr. Atchley was preceeded in death by his wife, Annie Margaret Atchley; daughter, JoAnn Atchley; sons, Ernest Claude Atchley Jr. and James William Atchley.        Survivors: He is survived by his son, Samuel Lee Atchley and Joseph E. Atchley; daughters, Margaret E. Goodrich and Rebecca A. McClendon; 21 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; brother, Albert Lee Atchley; and sister, Ellen Katherine Garcia.
