FORT WORTH -- Ethel Irene Green Yandell passed away peacefully Saturday afternoon, Jan. 14, 2012, during her 83rd year. Service: Noon Thursday at Southcliff Baptist Church, 4100 SW Loop 820, the Rev. Kevin Walker officiating. Following a committal service, Ethel will be laid to rest with her husband, Jack, in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: She will lie in state Wednesday at Robertson Mueller Harper where family and friends will gather 5 to 7 p.m. in the Great Room. Memorials: Consideration of contributions to Odyssey Healthcare Hospice or to the Building Fund at Southcliff Baptist Church, in Ethel's memory, is suggested. Born Sept. 1, 1928, in Weatherford, Ethel was the daughter of George and Ruby Green. Ethel was a lifelong Texas resident. She and Jack enjoyed many years of Texas trail rides and all things related to family gatherings. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two sisters. Survivors: In addition to her children, Donnie Yandell and his wife, Karen, Pamela Smith and her husband, David, and Lonnie Yandell and his wife, Pat, Ethel is survived by her grandchildren, Shelli, Tianey, Angela, Kelly and Russell; great-grandchildren, Brandon, Kelsi, Makenzi, Tyler, Trenton, Ayden, Bailey and Kyle; and many nieces and nephews and their families.
