FORT WORTH -- Euel E. Harper, 95, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 26, 2008. Funeral: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Lucas Sylvania Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Danny Couch and the Rev. Pam Holt officiating. Burial: Following a committal service, Euel will be laid to rest in Mount Olivet Cemetery next to his loving wife. Visitation: 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Lucas Funeral Home, with the family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Memorials: Friends who desire are respectfully invited to honor Euel's memory with a gift in his name to the building fund of Central Christian Church of Weatherford, 1602 S. Main St. Weatherford 76086. Euel was a lifelong member of Disciples of Christ. He was a member of Riverside Christian Church for 45 years, a five-year member of Central Christian Church of Weatherford. His lifelong hobby was wood carving. He enjoyed hunting and playing golf, scoring several holes-in-one. He was preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, Helen Harper. Survivors: Daughter, Jill Mitchell and her husband, Bill of Weatherford; son, Phil Harper and his wife, Anne of Montrose, Colo.; granddaughters, Sandi Mitchell of Fort Worth, Misty Germaine and husband, Jack of Saginaw, Dana Barnes and her husband, Gregg of Weatherford, Emily Rilely of Springfield, Va., Meghan Harper of Montrose, Colo., and Stephanie Harper of Montrose, Colo.; great-grandchildren, Geoffrey, Tyler and Ben Germaine, Haley and Hannah Barnes; and many nieces and nephews.
