Eugene Hooks

ARLINGTON -- Eugene Baxton Hooks passed away Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2012. Memorial service: 10:30 a.m. Monday at South Oaks Baptist Church in Arlington. Dr. Dan Curry officiating. Memorials: South Oaks Baptist Church, 5925 U.S. Highway 287, Arlington, Texas 76017, in lieu of flowers. Eugene proudly served 22 years in the Navy, serving during World War II and the Korean and Vietnam wars. He received the National Defense Service Medal. Survivors: Wife of 63 years, Ruby S. Hooks; sons, Phillip E. Hooks and wife, Kathy, of Arlington and David M. Hooks of Lexington, Ky.; grandchildren, Adam Hooks, Jason Hooks, Jennifer Ward, Bonnie Hooks, Joshua Hooks, Amy Hooks and Sarah Hooks; and eight great-grandchildren.
