Evelyn Brazzel

Evelyn Middleton Brazzel passed away Sunday, Nov. 11, 2007. Evelyn was born in Tarrant County's Bisbee community on Oct. 18, 1918, to Herbert O. and Linnie Mudd Middleton, the fourth of eight children. She graduated from Mansfield High School in 1937, and married Horace O. Brazzel in 1941. She and Horace moved to Huffman, and then later moved to Crosby. She became a U.S. Postal Service employee in 1944 and worked for the Postal Service for 35 years, retiring in 1979. Evelyn was a lifelong Baptist with her last membership in Walnut Ridge Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Horace O. Brazzel; her parents; two brothers; and one sister. Survivors: Brothers, H.O. Middleton Jr., Paul Middleton, both of the area, Billy C. Middleton of Charlotte, N.C.; sister and best friend, Elizabeth Starling of Austin; three nephews; two nieces; and many friends.
