HURST -- Romayne Grimm Germany, a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, died Wednesday evening, Jan. 19, 2011, during her 78th year. Service: 1 p.m. Saturday in the chapel at Robertson Mueller Harper with the Rev. Robyn Michalove officiating. Romayne will be laid to rest in Laurel Land Memorial Park. Visitation: Family and friends will gather 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in the Great Room at Robertson Mueller Harper to share laughter and tears. Born in Tulsa, Okla., on Aug. 13, 1932, Romayne was the daughter of Homer R. and Myrtle Verona Thomas Grimm. She had been a resident of Fort Worth since she was 14 and graduated from R.L. Paschal High School. Romayne worked in the insurance industry before becoming the consummate homemaker. She was actively involved in her children's scouting lives, serving as troop leader of Girl Scout Troop 606 and as secretary-treasurer of Troop 333, BSA, where her son earned the rank of Eagle Scout. She was a longtime member of Hemphill Presbyterian Church and served on the board of the Runaway Bay Homeowners Association. Survivors: In addition to her husband of 54 years, Bobby Lee Germany, Romayne is survived by her children, Doug Germany and his wife, Carrie, and Kim Germany Peters and her husband, Jim; grandchildren, Ashley Germany Daniel and her husband, Keith, and Cameron, Cutler and Morgan Peters; and great-granddaughter, Brylee Daniel.
