Florence Angeline Roof

KELLER -- Florence Angeline Roof, 83, passed away Thursday, Dec. 25, 2014. Service: 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 9, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Keller. Born Nov. 2, 1931, to Walter Andrew and Stella Matuszek on the second floor of the family tavern in Milwaukee, Wis., Florence lived her early years in Wisconsin. Florence then moved to New York, where she spent some time on the Mayflower, before finally settling in Texas, where she met her husband, Dick Roof, who preceded her in death, and raised her family. Florence spent the years traveling the U.S. and Europe, proving that she could make friends in any line, in any country, and could fill November with birthday lunches for her with all those friends. Survivors: Daughter, Beth Redfern and her husband, Glenn, and their children, Meredith, Blake and Kirstin; her son, Tom Roof and his wife, Denise, and children, Matthew and Victoria; her sister, Charlotte Robison; her brother, Clarence Matuszek and family, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
