MANSFIELD -- Forest Ray Griffin, 78, a retired Southwestern Bell exchange repairman, passed away Sunday, Sept. 4, 2005, in Mansfield. ??? Graveside service: 3 p.m. Wednesday in Laurel Land Memorial Park, 7100 Crowley Road, Fort Worth. Visitation: was 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Blessing Funeral Home, 401 Elm St., Mansfield. ??? Ray was born Dec. 30, 1926, in Pharr, the son of Luther and Viola Hazelwood Griffin. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during World War II. ??? He was preceded in death by his wife, Salena; son, Tommy; brother, Jack; and sister, Billie. ??? Survivors: Sons, Jimmy Griffin, and wife, Mitzi, Bill Griffin, and Joe Don Griffin; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
