NORTH RICHLAND HILLS -- Forrest T. Sapp died Monday, March 24, 2008, at a local hospital. Funeral: 11:30 a.m. Friday at Hurst Assembly of God Church, 812 Harrison Lane. The Rev. Roger Lewis, pastor of Life Church, will officiate. Interment: 1:30 p.m. Friday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Lucas Hurst Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Road. Forrest was born in Athens to Ira Arthur and Era Elizabeth Wallace Sapp. He was a minister in the Assembly of God Church for many years. He pastored for many years and he and his wife did mission work in Algeria, North Africa, Boreno, East Malaysia and Indonesia. Forrest was an avid learner and pursued many interests. He was an aircraft pilot and motorcycle rider, and was licensed in air-conditioning service and real estate. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Pauline Pete. Survivors: Wife of 43 years, Elaine; daughter, Shannon Denny and her husband, James; son, Colby Sapp and his companion, Sybil Rushing; grandchildren, Nicole Gonzales and her husband, Jeremy, Bianca Denny, Haley Denny, Jazmine Denny, Blaze Sapp and Coal Sapp; great-grandchild, Mateo Gonzales; and brother, Dan Sapp and his wife, Edna.
