Frances Pokorny Mosier, a farm girl, matriarch, loving mother of two daughters, doting Grandmother of five, and gentle soul surrendered to her long struggle with Scleraderma at her home in Keller surrounded by her loving family, April 22, 2013. Frances was born December 4, 1935, in Clovis, California, to Frank and Agnes Pokorny, the youngest girl of 8 siblings. She always viewed herself as a simple farm girl from California, who was fortunate enough to live across the United States while sharing her life with her two devoted daughters Kim and Tracey. Fran's simple elegance, warm smile, and loving demeanor were evident to everyone she met and the basis of her truly gentle soul. She passed these gifts on to her daughters and grandchildren Dylan, Call, Mallory, Dakota and Ian. An adventurous and outgoing person, she traveled and lived with her daughter Tracey, her husband and three Grandsons in Europe, as the Navy moved them from location to location. Quick to make new friends and experience new challenges, she instilled a wanderlust and cultural inquisitiveness to all. Her health concerns had recently kept her closer to home in Texas, but within the loving embrace of Kim, Ken, and her two grandchildren Ian and Mallory, while the rest of her friends and family traveled to her for the warmth, strength, and wisdom that remained with her to the end. She leaves behind a legacy of Czech farm girl toughness tempered with a deep and abiding faith in the Lord and a love for all. Preceding her are her parents, Frank and Agnes; sisters, Lillian, Pauline and Mary; brothers, Robert and James. Left to cherish her memory are daughters; Kim and husband Ken Kempker; Tracey and husband Dirk Deverill; grandchildren Dylan, Call and Dakota Deverill; Mallory and Ian Kempker; numerous nieces and nephews; and her loving furry companion Dakota (D4). Frances requested that, if you choose, to make a donation, in her name, to either St. Judes Children's Hospital or St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church Building on Faith. Funeral Mass was held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Keller.
