Francis Richard Flinn

Francis Richard Flinn, 82 passed away Friday, September 13, 2013 in Bedford, Texas. Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 19, 2013 at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville, PA. Francis, the son of Francis A. and Erla McMichael Flinn, was born April 25, 1931 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Penn Hills High School and attended the University of Pittsburgh. While serving in the U.S. Air Force, he met and married his wife, Elruth in Germany. Following his military service, he continued his service as Director of Civilian Personnel for the Air Force. In addition to his wife, Elruth, he is survived by his children, Brian Flinn and wife, Patti, Darrin Flinn and wife, Janet, and Heidi-Leigh Flippen and husband, Bill; grandchildren, Caitlin and Kendall Flippen.
