Garland Haynes

COLLEYVILLE -- Garland R. Haynes passed away Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2011.        Funeral: 2:30 p.m. Monday at Peace Lutheran Church, 941 Bedford Euless Road in Hurst. Visitation: The family will receive friends at the church from 1:30 until service time.        Memorials: The family requests no flowers but to honor Garland with a donation to Circle of Friends, an organization helping children with cancer at Cook Children's Medical Center, P.O. Box 374, Colleyville, Texas 76034.        Following his retirement from Texas Instruments where he worked in Brazil and Italy, he and his late wife, Amelia, taught ballroom dancing and traveled to most every country in the world.        Survivors: Children, Karen Watson and her husband, Joe, Jeff Haynes and his wife, Gayle, and Russell Haynes and his wife, Susie; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy Hagmann and Hope Hitt; brother-in-law, Joe Chambless; and Garland's special friend, Gladys Zrake.
