MANSFIELD -- Ed Ward, 68, a crew chief for American Airlines, died Wednesday, March 8, 2006, at his residence. ??? Funeral: 10 a.m. Monday at St. John Lutheran Church in Mansfield. Burial: Noon Monday in D/FW National Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Blessing Funeral Home. ??? Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to St. John Lutheran Church. ??? Ed was born March 23, 1937, in Shoals, W.Va., the son of Brady and Sadie Mullins Ward. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and was married to Mavis Jean Freeman. Mr. Ward was preceded in death by a son, Randy Lee Ward; father, Brady; and sister, Frances Lucas. ??? Survivors: Wife, Mavis Ward of Mansfield; children, Barbara Ward Taylor of Burleson, Steven Ward of Arlington and Tamara Ward of Denver, Colo.; daughter-in-law, Juliet Ward of Thornton, Colo.; grandchildren, Randy Ward Jr., Christopher and Heather Satterfield, and Michael Ward; mother, Sadie Ward of Ceredo, W.Va.; and 10 siblings.
