Garvin Hommel

BURLESON -- Garvin Hommel, 66, passed away Monday, March 12, 2012, at his home. Service: 10 a.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church of Burleson, 317 W. Ellison. Burial: will follow in Cahill Cemetery in Alvarado. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Lucas & Blessing Funeral Home in Burleson. Garvin was very active in the Burleson Soccer Association, and an avid hunter. He was a loving husband, father and papa. Survivors: Wife, Janie Hommel; sons, James Hommel, Jason and wife, Kellie Hommel; daughter, Tracy and husband, Mike Pruett; sister, Sharon Creach; stepsons, Blaine and wife, Kelly Ford, and Bryan Ford; and 10 grandchildren.
