HURST -- George Edward Anthony, 87, passed away Thursday, April 10, 2014. Graveside service: 11 a.m. Wednesday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Lane A. Visitation: The family will receive friends 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst. George retired from the military after 22 years of service as a military policeman. He then worked for and retired from the postal service. "George loved to laugh." He was preceded in death by his wife of 18 years, Ginny, and seven brothers and sisters. Survivors: His wife of 27 years, Janice Anthony; sons, Rick Anthony and wife, Kelly, and Ron Anthony; stepsons, Mike Parr and Lori, Russell Parr and Robert Parr; daughters, Susie Sanders and husband, Steve, Debbie Fowler and husband, Ken; stepdaughter, Susan Ford and husband, Darrell; brother, Joe Anthony; sister, Juanita Hebert; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and his dog, Freida.
