George Teddlie Tucker

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS -- George Tucker, 71, died Wednesday, May 21, 2008. Memorial service: 10 a.m. Saturday in Lucas Funeral Home Chapel, 1321 Precinct Line Road, Hurst. Longtime friend Charles Scoma will officiate. George was born Nov. 10, 1936, in Wichita Falls. After earning a BS in engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington, he quickly became a talented construction engineer employed by local aerospace companies and championed projects for Bell Operations in Iran and Japan. George volunteered his talents on the North Richland Hills Planning and Zoning Board, influencing much of the city's present growth and direction. Survivors: Wife of 47 years, Patsy; son, Braden; brother, Marc; niece; nephew; and several cousins.
