FORT WORTH -- Georgie Victoria Liggitt, 92, died peacefully Saturday evening, June 13, 2009, at her residence.        Service: A memorial eucharist will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 20, at Trinity Episcopal Church, 3401 Bellaire Drive South, The Rev. Gayland Pool celebrant. Mrs. Liggitt's cremated remains will be placed, with those of her husband, Fred, in the Memorial Garden at Christ the King Episcopal Church.        Memorials: In lieu of flowers, consideration of contributions to Christ the King Episcopal Church, 3290 Lackland Road, Fort Worth, Texas 76116, is suggested.        Born Feb. 22, 1917, in Glendale, Calif., Georgie Victoria was the daughter of Willis Cole and Ella May Howe Hollins.        Before moving to Texas with her husband and daughter, she attended the University of California at Berkeley and the University of California at Santa Barbara where she received a degree in Home Economics. Many years later, Georgie attended Texas Christian University, where she received her M.A. in special education.        The Liggitts attended All Saints Episcopal Church before putting energy into the founding of Christ the King Episcopal Church. Their home was used for services while the first church was being built. They served on the Altar Guild and the vestry; Georgie founded the library where a plaque and picture are permanently displayed.        Mrs. Liggitt was a longtime member of Ridglea Garden Club, several bridge groups, the Friendship Club and the Woman's Club of Fort Worth.        She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 60 years; and her older brother and sister in California.        Survivors: In addition to her daughter, Vicky Liggitt Harris, and sons, Richard Liggitt and his wife, Alice, and George Liggitt, Georgie is survived by her grandchildren, Clayton, Whitney, Courtney, Aaron and Andrew; and her longtime companion, Bruni Keiffer.
