Gerald Edmund Howard, 88, passed away March 22, 2014. Funeral Service: 11:00a Thursday, March 27, 2014 at Lucas Funeral Home in Keller. Burial will follow at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas. Visitation: 6-8pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Gerald was born in Ashland, Kansas on December 13, 1925. Gerald served in the US Army’s 101st Airborne during WWII and survived the Battle of the Bulge. He had served as a deacon of Memorial Christian Church and was the owner of Howard’s Drafting and Technical Services for twenty years, 1974-1994. Survivors: Wife of 56 years, Alice; son, Gary Howard and his wife, Deborah; daughters, Diana Odom and her husband, Greg, and Susan Smith and her husband, Dan; grandchildren, Tom Howard and his wife, Rachel, Stephanie Askins and her husband, Cooper, Morgan Harvey and her husband, Mike, Waide Odom, Bethany Smith and her husband, Jake, and Micah James and his wife, Angela; great-grandchildren, Dylan, Zoie, Kylee, Kaden, Elliott, and two on the way.
