FORT WORTH -- Geraldine Schumer "Gerry" Brown died peacefully Thursday morning, March 4, 2010, in her 88th year. Service: 3:30 p.m. Friday in Kornbleet Memorial Cemetery Chapel, 411 N. University Drive. Following committal prayers, she will be laid to rest next to her husband, Ted, in Ahavath Sholom Cemetery. Mrs. Brown's grandchildren and Joel Zeidman will serve as bearers of her casket. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, consideration of contributions to Congregation Ahavath Sholom or the American Cancer Society, honoring Gerry's memory, is suggested. A native of Chicago, Ill., Gerry was born Jan. 28, 1922. She led a rich and beloved life surrounded by family and close friends. In 1960, Gerry and her family moved from Detroit, Mich., to Fort Worth. She and her husband opened and operated a number of successful businesses, including the House of Pizza on West Berry St. Gerry will be greatly missed by those she loved so much. Survivors: In addition to her children, Steven Brown and Suzanne Brown Herman and her husband, Ben, Gerry is survived by her grandchildren, Charles Brown and his wife, Lisa, Blake Brown, Chad Herman and his wife, Martis, and Sean Herman and his wife, Sarah, and their children, Amelia and Charlotte Brown and Ted, Jacqueline, Asher and Lilian Herman.
